Zachary's Paws for Healing
Branding & Identity
Zachary's Paws For Healing is a Foundation in memory of Zachary Noble and his dream of being able to provide companion pet visits with hospital patients.
Problem
A lack of funds at the beginning meant the logo, promotional materials, and website were done quickly and as inexpensive as possible, resulting in a poorly made design and brand. Those things did not reflect their high-quality services.
Starting Point
The existing logo:

Research & Development
Zachary's Paws believes in the healing power of pets. Donna, the founder was keen to keep the heart and paw imagery to convey caring and animals. Research into current promotional material used at hospitals taught me that bold, caring, and cheerful designs stand out in that environment most.
Demographics & Mood Board
After browsing Donna's actual photos of patients with their pets, and families, I learned the target demographic was women 40-65 years. I curated a mood board with our agreed upon tone:
Caring Cheeky Professional

Colour Palette

Solution
Redesign the logo, keeping the original elements of a paw, heart, and blue and green colours. Clean/cheerful fonts and soft corners helped convey their compassionate service.
